Board of Trustees

The proper running of the Charity is the responsibility of the Trustees, also properly referred to as the Board of Directors and they are accountable to both the Charity’s membership and the Charity Commission.

The Board are appointed for a term by the subscribing members of the Charity in formal General Meetings.

All the Board are members of the Charity. They operate in a purely voluntary role receiving no remuneration or any other pecuniary benefit.

The Board effect the day to day management of the Charity through paid employees who are led by a full time Chief Executive.

There are a number of special posts. These are; the Charity’s Patron, the President and a number of Vice Presidents. These persons are valuable supporters of the Charity assisting in practical ways as well as endorsing the Charity’s activities by their association.
