Are you a Registered Manager with experience of managing good or outstanding service for people with learning disabilities?
We're looking for somebody to take up a role within a forward-thinking, high quality care provider to manage our supported living service.
Registered Managers are an essential part of Azure Charitable Enterprise’s support services and our plans to grow and develop our supported living services in the areas of Newcastle, Northumberland and Washington.

The Registered Manager role:

At Azure you'll be a Registered Manager of a high quality, person-centred service that supports people with learning disabilities in supported living services. Azure has a great reputation and your focus will be to oversee the management of new and existing supported living services, ensuring standards are high.

Your duties will include;

  • Ensuring Support is centred on individual's needs, goals and outcome
  • Ensure that the service is complying with CQC standards and maintain the outstanding rating within the inspection process
  • Managing staff resources and ensuring our people are used to their full potential
  • You'll manage the staff team (including the organisation of workloads, rotas, etc) ensuring your staff are fully supported and have regular supervision and appraisal
  • Ensuring that care and support plans are comprehensive and updated and reflect the changing needs of clients
  • Regular Supervision and Appraisal of staff
  • Recruitment
  • Developing a new or existing business through local and national contacts to initiate further referrals
  • Setting up of new care packages
  • Being part of the on-call rota

The Candidate - We're looking for somebody who....

  • has worked as a Registered Manager / Supported Living Manager / Service Manager / Outreach Manager / Locality Manager / Domiciliary Care Manager or similar previously.
  • genuinely cares for clients and is passionate about doing what we do.
  • is enthusiastic about development and growth and understand how to develop and extend care services without compromising our high standards of care.
  • has extensive experience of working with clients with Learning disabilities.
  • is qualified to NVQ Level 4 or QCF Level 5 in care management.
  • can demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act, the Mental capacity act and CQC compliance standards.
  • has a can-do attitude and can be flexible to meet the demands of the service.

Essential requirement - you need to be a driver with your own vehicle


  • Registered Manager experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Supported Living experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 4 or QCF Level 5 in Care Management

Interview date will be 25th March 2019.
