Currently we support people in Newcastle, Hexham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. We provide outreach, enabling support, and independent supported living.

We are looking for support workers in our supported living department within the Newcastle area with both full and part time positions available to suit.

Role of the support worker:

The Support Worker’s post is a very varied role, you will provide support in a person centred way, encouraging independence, creating opportunities and helping people to establish and maintain a network of relationships and activities within the local community. This could be things such as going out for a meal, attend the local cinema, or supporting a person to go on holiday. This position is an opportunity to work creatively with people within the service to enhance a person’s life, making it enriched and for filled.

Support’s Worker also provides personal assistance to people who require it: this includes practical support to wash or bathe. You will also be relied upon to help with everyday tasks such as supporting to cook meals or go shopping.

Training:  No experience is needed as full training will be provided however you must have a caring nature, a willingness to learn and a basic knowledge of using technology.
