Due to the clients having their own cars staff need to have a full UK driving licence.

Pay
- £12.00 /hr – full and part-time hours available!

Role
As a Learning Disabilities Support Worker you will help clients with everyday tasks like:
- Supporting people with their social and physical activities, this could be helping to keep in touch with family and friends, maintaining and developing hobbies and interests such as recording a song into a CD, supporting people to attend music concerts, going to Cruft’s or to help a person to support Newcastle football club, meeting various players and professionals.
- Helping a person with meal planning and preparation whilst providing healthy advice and guidance of new and exciting things to try.
- Encouraging a person’s independence, this may mean you will need to do a small part of a task to empower the person to complete the job.
- Provide support in a person centred way, support individual people with their own needs and goals, following support and care plans.
- Be able to communicate on all levels, speaking out for those who are not able to, passing on important information.
- Helping with personalised care through individual choice and control whilst protecting people's dignity, such as supporting someone to choose an outfit, get washed and dressed for the fun filled day ahead.

Training:
No experience is needed as all your training is fully funded by the charity and you will be paid for your time to complete your training.
