Finance Manager Required

Azure’s overarching mission is to ‘improve the lives of people who are disabled or disadvantaged’ . To this end the charity provides:

  • Care Services under contract to local authorities across the North East.
  • Education Services under contract to Northumberland County Council.
  • Employment Services (under contract to the DWP) and with project based funding from the North of Tyne Combined Authority & ESIF.

The charity has also established and operates a number of businesses, including supported businesses to generate income and provide sustainable paid employment and real 'on the job' learning and training opportunities for people with a disability and which include our trade and retail garden centre incorporating our horticultural nurseries,  grounds maintenance and landscaping business and our Newburn Business Centre.

After a difficult couple of years during which the organisation has been significantly reshaped, the charity is now ready to embark upon a £multi-million  programme of development and investment.

Having recently invested over £250K in the creation of new teaching facilities, we have submitted a planning application to extend the charity’s garden centre in Cramlington and build an additional business centre (which will also extend our teaching facilities still further).
