We are now looking to recruit volunteers to work alongside our experienced teachers to support and facilitate learning, progress and wellbeing in a range of learning environments.

In particular, our volunteers will be working as Teaching Assistants to support the delivery of individually tailored educational programmes for students with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is great team player who can work successfully in collaboration with others and contribute towards the organisation ethos and its improvement activities.
  • Enjoys the challenge and can bring the vision, passion and drive to raise standards in all aspects of school life.
  • Will be fully committed to working collaboratively across the charity and with partners to deliver our curriculum.
  • Is able to positively promote inclusion and have high expectations for all students.
  • Could make a significant contribution to the wider life of our Charity.

We can offer you:

  • An attractive working environment with excellent facilities and supportive families.
  • A committed, hardworking and supportive team.
  • 100% focus on improving outcomes for our students.
  • Well-resourced classrooms.
  • A group of students with a passion for learning.

Prospective candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • A patient, caring, compassionate and person-centred approach.
  • Excellent observation skills and the ability to problem solve and think creatively to enable our students to reach their full potential.
  • Emotional intelligence and resilience with the ability to engage with students and build trust.

Previous experience of looking after children/young people with special educational needs and/or autism would be an advantage however a can-do attitude and commitment to our students and your colleagues is most important to us as full training will be given.
