CAFE UPDATE - Nov 2021

Our education department is now running this newly developed training facility.

The Cafe is now open to the public on a reduced hours and products basis.

You will still be able to purchase light snacks and hot/cold drinks during our opening hours, which are:

Mon - Friday: 10am to 3:30pm

Saturday - Sunday: Closed

 

COVID-19 Update - June 2021

As you are doubtless aware, it is being increasingly reported in the media that the Prime Minister will announce on the 19^th of July that the mandatory mask wearing requirement and other COVID-19 infection control (preventative) measures will be scrapped and that the Government will invite the public, employers and perhaps operators of major public amenities to use their own judgement and common sense. 

This move would appear to be in stark contrast with medical and scientific advice (most notably the BMA) and which trade unions have characterised as ‘gross negligence’.

For the avoidance of doubt and to assure the mutual safety of our staff and customers, Azure Garden Centre will continue to operate and enforce existing COVID-19 infection controls and preventative measures including social distancing for the foreseeable future and at least until all our staff have received their two COVID-19 vaccinations.  Until all our staff have received their COVID-19 vaccinations, our café-restaurant will remain closed to the general public and customers will still be required to wear masks and to respect social-distancing measures in our Garden Centre. 

We are immensely grateful for your support these last 18 months and while we, like you, all yearn for a return to normality; we are not prepared to place either your personal health and safety, or that of our staff, at risk because we are weary of COVID-19 restrictions, or, on account of what is also being characterised by commentators as a ‘more populist approach’ (by the new Health Minister/Prime Minister) to the management of the pandemic.

At Azure plants really are our passion. Our staff are committed to meeting all your gardening needs and our team includes experienced and formerly trained horticulturalists. We are also very proud that many of the plants we sell are home grown in our own horticultural nurseries.

 

 

We stock a wide range of garden and leisure products including compost, pots, planters, paving, ornaments, water features, outdoor furniture, solar lights, tools and most things you could ever need to make your garden the perfect retreat.

 

 

Cafe Azure also has its own attractive garden which includes a children’s play area (safety permitting) and outdoor seating. As part of Azure's ongoing commitment to the environment the Café building encompasses many eco-friendly features.

Azure Garden Centre & Café serve the local community but also given our excellent location on the west side of Cramlington, close to both the A19 and A1, and with good transport links, we are also an excellent resource for many other local communities too.
