Workstep is a Jobcentre Plus employment programme for people with disability who face barriers to finding and staying in work.
Azure is contracted by Jobcentre Plus to provide support for 240 eligible disabled people and their new or existing employers. Our contract covers the North East of England from Northumberland to Cleveland.
The Workstep team currently provides support to 190 people employed by more than 70 regional and national employers.
Workstep clients are employed in many different roles, including Catering Assistants, Internet Analysts, Florists and Sales Assistants. Clients work for companies ranging from high street retailers, local councils, and residential care homes to Azure’s own businesses.
