Personal Development Programme
Our Personal Development Programme is designed for people with greater support needs for whom paid employment is a future goal. The aim of the programme is to help develop their understanding of a real work environment and improve their employability skills. The programme also offers individuals the chance to develop their personal and social skills alongside.
We can offer the following as part of an individually tailored programme:
- Individually tailored support delivered by qualified and experienced staff in a small group environment.
- High levels of supervision at all times by the team.
- A fun and friendly atmosphere, which is flexible to adapt to all individuals’ needs.
- Clients can gain a City and Guilds Employability and Personal Development Award, Certificate or Diploma- this qualification covers all areas from employability skills to preparing food, hospitality, managing money and team working. This qualification can be tailored to any individual at any level.
- Support is given with literacy, numeracy and ICT skills, which may lead to City and Guilds qualifications if appropriate.
- Job search support, such as interview skills, CV building and application forms.
- Teambuilding activities to help enhance employability skills.
- Clients can work towards a Level 1 NPTC Award, Certificate or Diploma in Horticulture Skills- this is a practical based qualification open to all ages and abilities which covers a wide spectrum of horticulture activities.
- Practical hands on experience of a wide range of horticulture skills, from planting to seed sowing to producing own fruit and vegetables - then support is given with preparing and cooking the produce when it has been harvested.
- Day visits to local attractions such as historic gardens and local parks to widen social interaction.
- Regular reviews are carried out to ensure the programme continues to meet the individual’s needs.
- All PPE and equipment is provided when and where needed.
Meals and refreshments are provided at breaks and lunch times.
This is a roll on roll off programme and takes approximately 40 weeks attendance, at four days per week, to complete, however clients can attend this programme for as many or as few days a week as meets their needs.
The cost of this programme varies depending on individuals needs and is charged at a daily rate.
